Important Information
There are no hidden charges with Whizzgo, but you do need to be aware of the following
information.
You will have to pay for any speeding or parking fines and damage to the car as a result of your
driving. Sorry but we don't cover this!
There should be no additional costs if you look after the car, the keys and tell us soon as possible
if you are likely to return late and we can try to extend your booking.
If you want to cancel a booking then tell us more than three hours in advance and you won't be
charged.
We have to have a tariff of penalties for anyone who does not follow the basic rules so here it is.
- Late return:
- This only applies if you are more than 10 minutes late.
- returning a car less than 10 minutes after the end of the booking will not result in you incurring a penalty;
- if you pre-advise WhizzGo at least 15 minutes prior to the end of your booking that you will be late, and there is no other booking due to commence immediately after, you can extend your booking without penalty. You will then be charged for the additional booking. If there is another booking, you will be charged a £25 late fee and reasonable costs incurred for the inconvenience of the other member/s.
- if you do not pre-advise WhizzGo that you are running late at least 15 minutes before the end of your booking, irrespective of whether there is another member waiting or not, you will be charged a penalty fee of £50.
- Remember that there is a hands free phone in the car, so you can reach WhizzGo 24 hours a day, free of charge!
- Canceling a booking:
- If you cancel more than 3 hours before the start of your booking there is no charge.
- For bookings cancelled or shortened less than 3 hours before they begin, you will be charged the full cost of the booking.
- You are liable to be fined up to £25 if you:
- smoke or allow your passengers to smoke in the car;
- carry pets in the car;
- return a car at the end of your booking with less than 2 units of fuel;
- leave the car in an unfit state for the next member (e.g. leaving litter in the car);
- get a parking or speeding ticket and do not pay it within the time specified.
- If you lose the keys to the car
- If you fail to leave the keys in the car, you will have to pay the full hourly rate until they are returned, as well as the costs that you would have to pay if you returned the car late (see above).
- If you allow the car to get towed away or clamped, you will be charged £25 for every member inconvenienced as well as any costs incurred in making alternative transport arrangements.
- If you lose your WhizzGo smart card, we will charge you a £10 administration fee to send you a replacement.
- If you leave the lights on, or we have to come out to the car for some other reason due to your negligence, we will charge you £50.
If WhizzGo incurs any costs, fees or charges as a result of your use of WhizzGo cars, such costs, fees or charges will be passed on to you.
