How to use WhizzGo car rental booking system: a few tips.

Top tips on using our booking system

Most of you are probably pros at using our booking system, but we’re sure a few of you could do with some handy tips (we certainly do sometimes!). See below for some tips on how to make the most of our booking system.

  • Click the green “Click here to book a car now” button above.
  • If you know the location you want, choose from the appropriate drop down box.
  • To check availability across a location or city, click the “show overview” button at the bottom of members’ online booking area.
  • When you’ve decided when are where you want to make the booking, click in the appropriate box where you want the booking to start and finish. If you’ve made a mistake, you can reset this selection at the bottom.
  • When you’re happy, click the button at the bottom of the page to request the booking. Don’t worry – you’ll then be able to check the times and location and cancel or change the booking if you’ve made a mistake.
  • When you’re happy, click the “confirm” button.
  • Should you wish to cancel or shorten a booking, please do so at least 3 hours before the start to avoid being charged for the original booking.
  • Make sure you book the car for long enough so you don’t incur a late fine. And don’t worry, your invoice will always be calculated at the least expensive rate.

Insurance excess
We know it can be annoying when one little bump can cost you a fortune. But with WhizzGo, you can reduce the standard excess of £500, which could help save you lots of pennies in the future. By paying a 5% premium on your monthly usage costs you can reduce your excess to £250, or by paying a 10% premium you can reduce it even further to £50. So if you’re not using the car one month, you won’t pay anything, but you’ll be covered when you do book a car. It’s better to be safe than sorry! To add excess reduction to your account just give our customer service team a call on 08444 77 99 66.
Please note that excess reduction is not available to anyone aged below 25. 

Get 15% off travel in Yorkshire!
WhizzGo members are eligible for a 15% reduction on the cost of an annual Metrocard, courtesy of Metro.  MetroCards are the great value-for-money range of travelcards which give virtually unlimited travel on buses and trains in West Yorkshire.
Just ask our customer services team when you join (or at anytime once you have joined) and we will post you a form that entitles WhizzGo members to the 15% discount.
